Shapoorji Pallonji Group MD meets Bengal CM

Kolkata, Aug 2: Managing Director of Shapoorji Pallonji (SP) Group Shapoor Mistry called up West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday and expressed his eagerness to engage air max thea in projects for infrastructural development in the state.

Besides the CM, Mistry also met Industries Minister Partha Chatterjee, Finance Minister Amit Mitra and Chief Secretary Samar Ghosh. Mistry said after the meeting that they had come to meet the CM to explore various possibilities that could result in mutual benefit for them and the Bengal government. Thanking Banerjee, Mistry said they were looking forward to projects like deep sea port, hydro electricity, roads and IT parks.

It is also learnt that Mistry would partner the Universal Success Group, owned by Prasoon Mukherjee, an NRI businessman, in the infrastructure project development. The two might bid for hydel power and deep wate air max thea r port projects.

Chatterjee said the state government would extend all possible support to the SP Group, which is the single largest shareholder in Tata Sons. The industries minister said that they hoped that SP, a company of good reputation, would set up projects in Bengal.

The SP Group already has a significant presence in Bengal. Mistry said they already have made an investment over Rs 1,00 air max thea 0 crore in the state. The group is setting up a mass housing project at Rajarhat for the economically weaker. It has also plans to build an IT park on a 50 acre plot that it possesses in the area. The Group, with over 20,000 employees and turnover of $2.5 billion, has interest in sectors like infrastructure, construction, real estate and engineering.

SP Group is chaired by Pallonji S Mistry, father of Shapoor Mis air max thea try. Cyrus Mistry, chairman designate of the Tata Group and successor, is Shapoor Mistry’s younger brother.

Shapoorji Pallonji bags construction contract from Max India

New Delhi: Max India group firm Antara Senior Living has roped in construction major Shapoorji Pallonji for its housing project for the elderly at Dehradun, being developed at a cost of Rs 520 crore.

“Antara Senior Living joins hands w air max thea ith the leading engineering and construction conglomerate Shapoorji Pallonji and appoints them as the civil contractor for their first senior living community in Purukul, Dehradun,” the company said in a statement.

The project spread over 20 acre comprises 217 apartments rang air max thea ing in size from 1,500 square feet to 7,000 sq ft. The apartments will cost between Rs 1.25 crore and Rs 4.5 crore. The project also has three penthouses, each priced at Rs 7 crore.

“The strategic decision of partnership with Shapoorji Pallonji has been taken to ensure that Antara delivers a community with an un parallelled infrastructure offering and services as its core differentiator,” the statement said.
