Shout Factory brings John Carpenters Body Bags to Blu

Jo cheap air max hn Carpenter is an icon in the horror industry and has delivered some great films including They Live, Assault on Precinct 13 and Halloween to name a few. At one point there wa cheap air max s discussion of him being a part of a Tales From the Crypt type anthology series which ended up becoming 1993s Body Bags. The film was not only directed by Carpenter, but also featured Tobe Hooper and Larry Sulkis helping out. Now Shout Factory is bringing this cult hit home on Blu ray for the first time.

Body Bags follows three short stories in the with the first about a serial killer, the second about a hair transplant gone wrong, and the third about a baseball player who gets an eye transplant that goes horribly wrong. This is one of the more cheesy films that Carpenter has been involved with but is still pretty fun. It feels just like the TV se cheap air max ries it was meant to be as opposed to a movie, but thanks to all of the cameos it gives it a bigger scope. Each story works great and features some familiar faces headlining each story with Stacy Keach, Mark Hamill and David Naughton, but if you keep your eye out there are a slew of horror cameos including Tom Arnold, Tobe Hooper, Robert Carradine, Wes Craven, Roger Corman, Sam Raimi, Greg Nicotero, Twiggy, Charles Napier, and Deborah Harry. As if all of these weren’t enough to pique the interest of any horror fan, the man Carpenter himself steps into the Crypt Keeper type role to host these three films adding to the fun. Each film sports some great gore and craz cheap air max iness making for an entertaining piece of horror cheese that is sure to keep fans happy.

Besides this classic Carpenter anthology film it also features commentaries, trailer and a behind the scene featurette featuring John Carpenter, producer Sandy King, Stacy Keach, and Robert Carradine. Take a trip to the morgue and grab your Body Bags when it hits Blu ray on November 12th.
